We happened to inherit a bunch of really beautiful beads from one of our Grandmothers. Our Grandmothers were craft enthusiasts to say the least. Not only did we make some awesome beaded wind chimes out of them we had plenty left over to make some beaded Christmas ornaments.

Step 1: Gather your supplies:
-Beads
-Wire ( we used 18 gauge)
-Pliers
-Velvet Christmas bows ( ours were purchased off Amazon)
-Hot glue gun or E6000 adhesive

Step 2: Lay out your design. Keeping in mind that these are extremely unique and handmade beads from all over the world ( we mentioned before that our Grandmothers loved this stuff) they aren’t perfect for Christmas. But, by adding some filler beads from our local craft store we were able to add some Christmas flair to them. Just play around with your beads and see what works.

Step 3: String your design on your wire. Depending on the size of the holes of your beads this should be pretty easy. Like we said before ours are handmade so they are all slightly different and a little bit of a pain in the butt. But, the end result was well worth the trouble.

Step 4: Bend your wire into a circular shape and twist the two ends together. Snip the wire with your pliers but make sure to leave enough length to bend one side of the wire into a hook shape. You could also tie some holiday ribbon instead of the wire hooks. It just depends on the look your trying to achieve.

Step 5: Glue your Christmas bows onto your ornaments. We used hot glue because we like how speedy it is but E6000 would work just as well.

This project is simple but impactful. We have the sentimentality of the beads from a loved family member and high end looking ornament. These can be made to fit anyone’s holiday style. Happy crafting!
