We Can Craft That

Raise your hand if you love Christmas! It’s our favorite holiday so we try to do as much as possible to spread the holiday cheer with our friends and family. Making handmade gifts is something we are pretty much constantly working on or are at least thinking about throughout the year. These painted ornaments are not only adorable but are the perfect gift for anyone!

Step 1: Gather your supplies:

Wood slice rounds
Acrylic paints
Paint brushes
Decorative bows ( optional)
Ribbon or ornament hooks

Step 2: Wipe away any debris on your wood rounds. We just used a paper towel to brush anything away.

Step 3: Paint your base color. We are doing multiple sets so we painted some white and some black. You could also just leave the background natural. It just depends on the look that you are going for.

Step 4: Draw a rough image with a pencil to follow. We feel like this really helps achieve the look that we want.

Step 5: Paint your ornaments. The possibilities are endless here. You could do them as simple or detailed as you like. You could even just do cute seasonally appropriate words such as Joy, Noel, Peace etc.

Step 6: Add your ornament hanger. We chose to use some red and white cotton string
that we had from a previous project. You could use anything that matches your aesthetic. We also added a red velvet bow to take them over the top. If you can’t be extra for Christmas then when can you right?

Now you have some adorable Christmas ornaments that are completely customizable
to any style, color or theme. They don’t have to be strictly Christmas either. How cute would a fall or Halloween tree be? These make excellent gifts!
