Christmas Tree in a Box

Christmas Tree in a Box

Hello all you Christmas junkies out there! We just can’t seem to get enough of Christmas and everything that comes along with it. We’ve self appointed ourselves our families official Christmas cheer spreaders. So, when a family member casually mentioned they’d like to get back into decorating their house for Christmas last year ( and didn’t) we took it upon ourselves to to lend a helping hand this year. That’s when the idea of “Christmas tree in a box” was born. We purchased a manageable sized artificial tree and began creating one of a kind personalized ornaments and other decor to go along with the tree. After all, what says Christmas more than a Christmas tree?

Step 1: Gather your supplies:

  • Really the only two things that are actually essential are a tree and some sore of box ( we opted for a plastic storage tote so they can easily store it when the holidays are over.) The rest is completely up to you. You can do as few or as many decor pieces as you’d like to. That’s whats so fun about this project. You really get to use your creativity to it’s fullest.

Step 2: Create your tree decor! Here are the things we chose to do for our Christmas tree in a box:

Step 3: We chose to purchase a few add-on’s just because were extra. But, this is obviously optional. We got some coordinating wood bead garland and a few ornaments that we thought that the recipient of this gift would love.

Step 4: Package everything into it’s box. We used our cricut machine to create some cute decal labels for the plastic totes. This is completely unnecessary but again, we are extra. We thought it added a nice personal touch plus is makes it more identifiable when it’s in a sea of other plastic totes.

Step 5: Lastly we decided to wrap the tote with a Christmas ribbon for an added elimate of Christmas magic. It is a gift after all.

And that’s it! Now you have a unique and thoughtful Christmas gift for that special person who needs an extra dose of holiday cheer! These are extremely customizable. The possibilities are literally endless. You could do a Disney themed tree, a specific color schemed tree or even a beach themed tree! It doesn’t have to be just Christmas either. How cute would a Halloween tree be! Happy holidays everyone!
