Do you live for decorating? Cause we sure do! Any holiday whether it be Christmas, Easter or Valentine’s day is a good excuse to change out our decor and make cute things! So, this project is just another way to feed our need to decorate. This particular decoration was made for a certain green rat figurine that is sentimental to us. It is a long story how he became a sort of “family mascot” but he gets decorated now for the holidays. So, when February rolled around it was an obvious choice to make him a mini kissing booth stand. This would be adorable just as a stand alone decor piece as well.

Step 1: Gather your supplies:
- Popsicle sticks
- Small bamboo skewers or wooden dowels
- Small wood box ( we found ours at the dollar tree)
- Wood rectangle for the roof
- Paint and brushes
- Glue ( we used hot glue)
- Any decorations you’d like to add ( we found some felt and wooden hearts at the dollar tree)

Step 2: Cut your Popsicle sticks to the size you’d like them to be. We wanted to use them as shingles for the top of our kissing booth. There is no wrong answer to this. Make them whatever size you think they should be to fit the size of your wooden rectangle.

Step 3: Paint your pieces. We painted half our shingles white and the other half pink. We didn’t bother painting our wooden rectangle because it wouldn’t be seen under our shingles. We also painted our small wooden box white. But, any colors work!

Step 4: Cut your skewers or dowels to the right size for your booth. We wanted there to be a bit of a slant to our roof so we made the back two a little taller than the front two. Then using your hot glue gun attach them to your booth. We liked hot glue for this because it’s instant gratification. But, Elmer’s glue would work too.

Step 5: After you glue all your shingles to your roof attach it to the tops of your wooden skewers or dowels.

Step 6: Once everything is dry and secure you are ready to embellish. Add as much or as little as you’d like. We found some adorable felt and wooden hearts at the dollar tree. But, you could add anything that speaks to you. How cute would some painted heartsbe? We used a black sharpie to make some little signs. We also added a little felt banner to the top of the roof. After all, is there such a thing as too much when it comes to a Valentine’s day decoration?
That’s it! How sweet is this little kissing booth? It’s the perfect piece of decor to add a little bit of extra love to your holiday display.
