Who doesn’t love looking at photos from “the good old days?” We certainly do! We were having a birthday party for one of our mother in laws 70th birthday’s. We of course wanted to make it as special as possible for her. So, we decided to create something that would really grab her attention as soon as she walked in. We landed on these number photo collages.

Step 1: Gather your supplies:
- Cardboard or poster board
- A pencil or pen
- A box cutter and/or scissors ( a box cutter is easier if your cardboard is thicker) but we’ve used scissors too
- Photos that you’d like to use. We wanted a mix of current and vintage photos ( the amount of photos you’ll need is really depending on the size of your numbers) We just printed a bunch off our computer and hoped that we had enough. You can always go back and print more if needed ( we had to). It does take more photos than we anticipated. In the end we used about 80 photos.
- Glue ( we used elmers because it’s what we had on hand) But, you could use whatever glue is suitable for paper that you have in your stash

Step 2: Draw out your numbers on your cardboard. Your lines won’t be seen because they will be covered with photos. So, don’t worry about them being perfect.

Step 3: Cut out your numbers. We used our handy dandy box cutter for this. It makes an easier job of it. But, scissors work too if that’s all you have.
Step 4: Trim your photos if you’d like to. We cut them down a bit and rounded the corners so we could fit as many of them on our cardboard numbers a possible. We really wanted a large array of different photos.
Step 5: Start laying out your photos. We wanted to spread out the like photos so they were more interesting.
Step 6: Get to gluing. This process takes a little while. Just take your time and have fun with it. Make sure all your photos are glued on by starting at one end of the number and going to the other end. Repeat the process with the other number.

And that’s it your done! Now you have a one of a kind personalized decor piece that is sure to impress any party guests. It’s a fantastic way to add something special to your event. This can be customized to fit anyone’s age or event. How cute would this be for a wedding? With photos of the bride and grooms journey and relationship. There are so many options!
