Collar Holder

Hello all the fellow pet parents out there! Does it seem that your fur baby has more outfits than you do? Well, here’s an adorable storage solution for all their collars. This one happens to be for a Halloween enthusiast that loves the color orange. So, that’s the vibe we went for!

Step 1: Gather your supplies-

-Wooden board

-Paints or stain and brushes

-Any embellishments

-Hooks and screws ( Or knobs whatever your using)

-Stickers or a cricut print

-Mod podge ( optional)

Step 2: Once you’ve decided on your theme/ color scheme paint your board and anything else that needs painting. Depending on what colors you choose will determine how many coats it will take. For example the black border we did only took one coat but the orange took three. Make sure you let the paint dry completely in between coats.

Step 3: Plan out your decor placement. In our case we used our cricut machine to print out a photo of Ms. Sadie Jo and her name. We also printed out some little paw prints for some extra cuteness.

Step 4: Attach your decor pieces. We placed the name and other decals on the board. We wanted to put some of the paw prints above the hooks so we used a pencil and put a small mark where each hook will go so we know where to place the paw prints. We then put two coats of mod podge clear coat over everything to make it more durable (this is optional).

Step 5: Attach your decorative hooks. We just happened to have these in our craft stash leftover from a previous project. You could use any hooks that you’d like. You could even use cute knobs instead of hooks. We’ve even painted on plain white ceramic knobs. This would be absolutely adorable with painted paw prints or dog bones!

The screws for the hooks stuck out a little in back, not enough to cause problems but enough to catch a finger. To fix it we just did a dollop of hot glue on each little stuck out part and it works perfectly!

Now you’re all done! There are so many variation possibilities for this project! You could add a little basket at the bottom for other miscellaneous pet items. We don’t know about you, but our fur babies have a pretty extensive wardrobe. You could hang bandannas instead of collars (or both) or even party hats!
